The 2017 Zinfandel "Buck" Cobb Vineyard has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and a pretty perfume of dried exotic flowers over sliced apricot, warm redcurrant, black berry and black cherry, with dried leaves and soil hints. The 2017 Zinfandel Buck Cobb Vineyard is juicy, supple and inviting. Today, the 2017 is a bit reticent compared to how it showed from barrel, but there is plenty of depth to the fruit and structure as well. Ripe dark cherry, plum, mocha, licorice and spice run through this plump wine. This has softened a bit, but it still has terrific fruit depth and tons of nuance. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
