Although 2018 was considered a warm vintage, Fevre believes that the gentle rain arrived just in time, and the wines produced possess excellent power, optimal ripeness, and the minerality that defines great Chablis. It seems as of late the Bougros Cotes de Bouguerots selection has been getting a great deal of attention. The vineyard sits on a very steep 30% gradient hill where excessive yields are prevented by shallow, gravelly soil. The result is complex robust wine. Glowing lemon and lime, this is very promising. The nose keeps drawing out more and more. This is the most complete wine among the William FÃ¨vre 2018s to date. There is a lively fresh yellow fruit, with a huge but even distribution across the palate. Hillside minerals perfectly in place, and it stays light on its feet. With such energy!!
