Note: from a 2.2 ha parcel at the bottom section of the vineyard; even so, the vineyard is so steep here that it must be worked entirely by hand as tractors would be dangerous to use
Tasting note: This too offers a wonderfully broad range of classic Chablis elements that include mineral reduction, iodine, ocean breeze and quinine on the citrus-infused nose. The racy, detailed and beautifully textured and focused flavors deliver outstanding length on the balanced, saliva-inducing and sneaky long finish. This is also quite classy and if not quite as complete as the Preuses at present, the track record this wine has of developing superb depth over time gives it the slight edge at this early juncture.

From Fevre's tiny plot on the steepest part of Bougros, Côte de Bouguerots adds even more complexity and drive to a stunning site. There is such finesse here, allied with density on the palate, savoury characters and perfectly balanced acidity. A very mineral expression of Grand Cru Chablis. Difficult to talk about fruit flavours here as the mineral/savoury elements are the star of the show. A great Grand Cru with a very long future ahead.--Andy Howard MW, Decanter

The 2019 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Côte Bouguerots is brilliant, unwinding in the glass with notes of warm bread, crisp orchard fruit, beeswax and oyster shell. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's deep and concentrated, with huge reserves of chalky structure and an incisive spine of acidity. It concludes with a finish of almost disconcerting intensity. Again, this is a very tightly wound young wine, cropped at only 29 hectoliters per hectare, and it will require and reward patience. –William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

Brisk mid lemon colour. Steely nose, perhaps a waft of ripe lemon with it. Just 25 hl/ha produced. Very pure, intense white fruit, but with its electric backbone of steel, and exceptional intensity with its usual brilliant white fruit character. Coats the teeth and excellent length. Tasted: July 2020—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
