This is a fantastic and refined Blanc de Blancs. So layered and complex, with lemon curd, chalk, hazelnuts, pastries, baked apples and almond croissants. Structured and tightly wound, with almost imperceptible bubbles. Delicious salty notes at the end. Beautiful. Drink or hold. - James Suckling
Bright straw colour, silver reflections, very fine and persistent mousse. Nuances of yellow tropical fruit such as mango, peach notes, white flowers, lime zest, almonds, attractive and multi-layered bouquet with a hint of fresh cookie. Complex on the palate, tight-knit, silky texture, conveys fruity fullness without any opulence, very animating and balanced with great finesse, white pome fruit in the finish, mineral and salty touch in the echo. Great harmony and length, certain ageing potential, a great promise for the future. The problem is this 2012 is already so perfect that it's hard to keep one's hands off it. - Peter Moser, Falstaff
The 2012 Comtes de Champagne is gorgeous. Warm and resonant in the glass, the 2012 Comtes shows all the allure that makes this vintage so appealing. The combination of bright citrus, mineral and floral notes typical of Comtes, enhanced by the soft contours of the vintage, makes for an inviting, open-knit Champagne that is quite showy right out of the gate. Light tropical accents on the finish add an exotic flair. Usually I recommend cellaring just-released Comtes, but that won’t be necessary here. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

This is a step up from the linear and fresh 2006. It shows subtle depth and power with a dense block of vivid fruit that's highlighted with lemon zest, green apples and hints of white peaches. Just the right amount of praline and nuts on the nose. Fine and tight bead give the Champagne a luxurious mouthfeel. One for now or the cellar. Drink or hold. James Suckling
Always one of the great Champagnes, this comes from a year that is generally regarded as good but not great. And yet, with this Champagne is magnificent. The wine has some good bottle age, hinting at toast while also keeping the tight, mineral edge of a great wine from the Côte des Blancs. Drink from 2020. - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
The 2007 Comtes de Champagne is an astonishing Champagne. With aromas of dried flowers, chamomile and plenty of freshness, the bouquet is complex and dense. The fine and pure texture on the palate is supported by a chalk and iodine finish. - Yohan Castaing, Decanter
