"...exquisitely fine bubbles, finishing long and fragrant. There is so much vibrant, intense fruit here that you don't miss the dosage"

- Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent

The creation of this wine began as an exchange of ideas between Louis Roederer’s CEO, cellar master, and designer Philippe Starck. Their collaboration gave birth to the very first Brut Nature in 2006. The wine captures the essence of the Cumières clay hillside, known for producing rich, fragrant grapes in warmer years. Gentle and measured growing practices are employed to preserve the unique energy of the terroir. The 2015 vintage was particularly exceptional, with perfectly ripe grapes and intensely fruity aromas. This vintage represents a step in the right direction for the future, according to designer Philippe Starck. The wine is a testament to an encounter, a soil, a year, and the independent spirit at Louis Roederer.

"Brut Nature is a laboratory that allows Louis Roederer to push this living matter, this biodiversity, as far as we can, to see to what extent this biodiversity could perhaps take over from many of our practices." - Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Cellar Master

Displaying a bright pale salmon to cherry pink color, the 2015 Louis Roederer et Philippe Starck Brut Nature Rose wafts gently from the glass with notions of Red Delicious apples, raspberry leaves, Bing cherries, and rose water, plus touches of lavender, wet pebbles, and baker's yeast. The palate is tightly wound with great tension and dry, mineral-sprayed red berry and apple-inspired flavors, supported by exquisitely fine bubbles, finishing long and fragrant. There is so much vibrant, intense fruit here that you don't miss the dosage! This blend is 50% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay, and 13% Pinot Meunier. 20% Pinot Noir was infused for 5 days, followed by adding the white musts. 11% of the wines were aged in oak, and 30% malo-lactic was used. The dosage is zero. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent

To produce the 2015 Brut Nature Rosé, Lécaillon and his team picked the ripest Pinot Noir in Roederer's holdings in lieu-dit Les Chèvres a week before the rest of their fruit there, macerating it at low temperature for four to five days before adding some 20% of this Pinot Noir to the same base that produces the regular Brut Nature. Delivering aromas of peach, clear honey, freshly baked bread and almond paste, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a rich, vinous profile, racy acids and a long, chalky finish. This has always been a structured wine, but in 2015, that structure is cloaked in more flesh and texture. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

The 2015 Brut Rosé Nature is stellar. What a wine. Chef de Caves JeanBaptiste Lecaillon and his team capture a striking interplay of richness and drive, but with softer contours than the first few vintages of this wine. All of the personality of Cumières comes through in this wonderfully savory, mineral Rosé. Dried rose petal, chalk, mint and white pepper lend brilliancy that carries through to the intensely mineral finish. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

The 2015 Champagne Starck Brut Nature is forward with vinous and spicy aromas of saline and red currant, orange blossom, and smoke. It is expansive on the palate while maintaining a core of fresh acidity, with peach, dried flowers, and wet stone. This complex and unique expression is full of energy and has great gastronomic appeal. Drink 2022-2040. - Jeb Dunnuck

The 2015 Louis Roederer et Philippe Starck Brut Nature features a pale lemon straw color and evocative opening scents of honey-roasted almonds, brioche, fresh apricots, and orange blossoms, leading to earthy hints of chalk dust and white truffles. The palate is bone dry, tightly knit, and strait-laced on entry, expanding on the palate to deliver a vast array of delicate nut, toast, savory, and mineral nuances, finishing on a lingering chalky note. It's certainly delicious right now, but it will deliver something more with another 2-3-years+ in bottle. The blend is 46% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir, and 17% Pinot Meunier. 23% of the wine was aged in oak, and no malo-lactic or dosage is employed here. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Independent

The most compelling rendition of this bottling that Roederer has produced to date, the 2015 Brut Nature exhibits inviting aromas of golden orchard fruit, clear honey, dried white flowers and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, layered and vinous, with a fleshy, concentrated core of fruit, chalky structure and a long, precise finish, it's a Pinot Noir-dominant blend from Cumières that's slightly lower in pressure, making for a more delicate mousse. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
