Two plots next to Bonnes Mares and one next to Christophe Roumier’s Cras. Bright even purple. Rather reductive nose. Very fine rich generous fruit in the mouth, optimum ripeness, just firmed up a bit at the back by the reduction. Very long finish. This would be first class without the reduction. Tasted: December 2021.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: This is the first wine to display any appreciable reduction though there is good freshness and verve to the caressing and velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the better-balanced and more structured finish. I would note that while there is a touch of warmth, it's sufficiently subtle as to not really compromise the overall sense of harmony.—Allen Meadows, Burghound

The vineyard lies below Bonnes Mares
Note: from vines planted in 1947
The 2020 Chambolle Musigny les Sentiers 1er Cru, courtesy of 70 year old vines, is much more backward on the nose compared to the Noirots, but no less complex with lovely forest floor, and wild mushroom scents interpolated amongst the dark fruit. There is something almost autumnal here. The palate is fresh and lightly spiced with a dash of white pepper, cohesive and structured with a very persistent finish. Excellent.—Neal Martin, Vinous Media
Planted in 1947, the vines are still in excellent health. Really lovely nose, suggestive of tiny berries, red and black. Could be very dark redcurrants or bilberries. This is very succulent in the middle but retains the firmness of structure which characterises these wines. Tasted: December 2021.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Tasting note: A slightly more elegant nose offers up its aromas of red and dark currant liqueur, anise, violet and more discreet wood influence. The rich and sleek middle weight flavors possess excellent intensity as well as fine persistence on the balanced finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose reappears. This is a bit woody at present, but the requisite density appears to be present such that it will ultimately successfully integrate. Outstanding. Allen Meadows, Burghound

The vineyard is at the northern end of the commune, just north of Chambolle-Musigny village itself. It covers a three-hectare (seven-acre) plot of land at the very base of the Côte d'Or escarpment.
The 2020 Chambolle Musigny les Noirots 1er Cru, from 0.5 hectares of 40 year old vines tannins, feels slightly more stemmy on the nose, yet it is well defined, and the pepperiness compliments the darker fruit compared to the les Chatelots. The palate is framed by fine tannins, this Chambolle is well-structured with a Morey-like, mineral-driven finish that fans out wonderfully. Excellent.—Neal Martin, Vinous Media
Extremely intense rich purple. A charcoal rich, almost black fruit. A huge wealth of fruit on the palate, very succulent at first then showing a firmer structure, typical of this vineyard. A few red fruit notes join the blacker cherries. Fine length. Tasted: December 2021.—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
