This flagship wine is now maturing slowly in a 25hl tank having been blended. The colour is clean with a green tint, the bouquet suggests power but is backward. Enormously steely, with the flesh only appearing right at the finish, all in white fruit, less floral than the regular Blanchots. Grégory finds fleur de cassis or elderflower. Extremely backward but so intense. Tasted: July 2021

A clear paler lemon yellow. This is a very pure, even quite low key Les Clos but it is fine nonetheless, though not singing as much as the Blanchots before it, and doubtless the Reserve de l’Obédience which comes next. Softer flesh across the palate, with weight and concentration. A very long finish, though, so this may just be going through a quiet phase. Tasted: July 2021

Just two demi muids. Clear bright lemon and lime colour. Compared to the regular Fourchaume there is a little bit more power, weight of fruit, on the nose, and then this excellent balance between generous white fruit and a light lime infusion for the acidity. Tasted: July 2021
L'Homme Mort vineyard's topography is such that it receives slightly higher levels of sunshine than other areas within Fourchaume – making it one of the better known Premier Crus in this part of the valley.

Just one foudre of their production from this excellent vineyard has been retained for this bottling as the rest is needed as the cornerstone of St Martin. It has been racked but not prepared for bottling. Pale primrose, marine and showing a bit of sulphur. Significant volume of ripe fruit on the palate with an excellent cutting edge and a surprising amount of spice. Tasted: July 2021
Vieille Voye is located beneath Premier Cru Les Vaillons on a rounded top with wide exposure. This wine is made just like a Premier Cru: hand-made harvest, grape sorting in the winery and long ageing in French oak “foudre”.
