The wines produced were low in alcohol and tannins compared to other vintages like 2015 and 2020. However, Inter Beaujolais - a French wine council, praised the Beaujolais Nouveau 2021 wines for their exceptional quality and fruity, tender character.

This tiny wine grower of the hamlet of Corcelette (note the first name as there are numerous Boulands in the area!) has seduced us for a few years now with his concentrated and textured Morgons. The fruit weight in no way masks the almost wild minerality of the soil. These wines have an intensity that can only come from old vines that are impeccably cultivated. - La Revue du Vin de France

One cuvée that really doesn't miss a beat in this more challenging vintage is the 2021 Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Sable, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine evocative of plums, sweet berries, spices and forest floor. Layered and concentrated, with an enveloping core of fruit and melting tannins, it will delight readers nostalgic for more classically proportioned Beaujolais. --William Kelley – The Wine Advocate

The 2021 Morgon Les Delys Vignes plantées en 1926 is deep and brooding, unwinding in the glass with aromas of wild berries, cherries, exotic spices, cracked black pepper and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a long, resonant finish, it represents a terrific achievement from Bouland. --William Kelley – The Wine Advocate

Opening in the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, spices and smoke, the 2021 Côte de Brouilly Cuvée Melanie is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with a sweet core of fruit, tangy acids, powdery tannins and penetrating finish. It's one example of a 2021 that I prefer to its riper, more powerful 2020 counterpart. --William Kelley – The Wine Advocate
