Enzo Boglietti made wines commercially available for the first time in 1991. The vineyards located in La Morra are on 3 hectares inherited from his grandfather Matteo Boglietti, born in 1899, who owned portions of the Brunate, Boiolo, Roscaleto and Bricco del Dente vineyards. The remaining vineyard holdings come from Giovanni Montanaro on his monther's side, born in 1900, who owned both the Fossati farmhouse and a portion of the Fossati vineyard, in the same region of La Morra. Today Enzo Boglietti together with his daughter Linda and his son Matteo are dedicated to producing high quality wines albeit miniscule productions. We are please to offer these extraordinary wines - every bottle is a rare addition to your collection.

The Enzo Boglietti 2016 Barolo Arione draws its fruit from Serralunga d'Alba, from a vineyard site that has gained much attention in recent years. Arione has thick silty soils and these contribute to the gentle finesse and floral perfumes of the wine. Don't forget power. There is plenty of muscle flexing in this brawny, determined Nebbiolo with firm tannins and deep structure. A mere 2,000 bottles were produced. Count on this wine to complete a long and rewarding drinking arc. Monica Larner – The Wine Advocate

Ripe fruit aromas and flavors of kirsch and black currant mark this fruity version. Earth, eucalyptus and tar notes are interwoven as this red flexes its tannic clout on the finish. In classic Serralunga fashion, there are abundant tannins, yet they are refined and tightly stitched. Best from 2024 through 2047. 166 cases made, 59 cases imported. — BS – Wine Spectator

The 2016 Barolo Arione is one of the standouts in this range. Bright red fruit, iron, smoke and chalk give the 2016 plenty of Arione savoriness. The tannins are a bit biting at this stage, but then again, that is Arione. Deceptive in its mid-weight structure and feel, the 2016 packs a good bit of punch.-- Antonio Galloni – Vinous Media

Lots of tobacco and damp earth with sweet perfume and coiled firm tannins. An assertive wine with lots to offer. When this softens it will give lots of pleasure. (AC) Jancis Robinson .com

Drawing its fruit from old vines in La Morra, the Enzo Boglietti 2016 Barolo Fossati offers a smooth, silky and accessible personality. This wine should probably be accessible with another five years or more of aging. This vineyard site has silty soils, and these conditions work to create complexity and soft dimension in the wine. Red cherry, dried raspberry, blood orange, licorice and smoke emerge from the bouquet. Only 3,600 bottles were made. Monica Larner – The Wine Advocate

The 2016 Barolo Fossati is laced with red fruit, orange zest, cedar, cinnamon, dried autumn leaves and sweet pipe tobacco, along with the nervous tannins that are such a Fossati signature. In the glass, the 2016 is translucent and a bit edgy, but it all works. This is such an attractive and expressive wine that balances the depth that has always been typical of these wines with notable site expression.-- Antonio Galloni – Vinous Media

Perfumed, this red exhibits pure flavors of cherry, raspberry and rose, shaded by mineral and tobacco. It's succulent and silky, until the firm tannins sweep in on the savory finish. Graceful, yet packs a punch. Best from 2022 through 2040. 300 cases made, 127 cases imported. — BS – Wine Spectator

Pale crimson. Again has the smoky earthy nose. Not an elegant style, more powerful and forthright. Autumnal notes and moderate acidity support the weighty tannins. (AC) Jancis Robinson .com
