An intense, effusive bouquet ranges from toasted brioche to grilled hazelnuts, dried apricot and lemon peel with just a hint of truffle. Despite the discrete development, this is still lively and fresh on the palate with an elegance and finesse that is almost sublime. The texture is waxy and dense but never heavy, and the balance leads to an interminable finish. The vines are 60 years old and belie their classification as 'only' village-level.
