Drink Champagne like a movie star! Fleur de Miraval Champagne that is the official bubbly of Hollywood's big night.

Top Movies Means Top Bubbles!

What to Drink at Your Oscars Viewing Party?

The Champagne that the Stars are Drinking

And the winner is…

A week from Sunday it will be time to put on your finest, pop open some Champagne, and celebrate the best that Hollywood has to offer! We love Champagne not only because it’s glamourous, but because it is delicious, and we deserve it. And if celebrities are going to be drinking it at their award parties, then we should too. But what do the stars get to drink?

The featured bubbly this year is a collaboration between Hollywood "royalty" in the form of actor Brad Pitt, along with two French wine "royal" families, The Perrin Family of Chateau de Beaucastel in the Rhone Valley, and the Pierre Peters Family of Champagne. They three “P”s have joined together in a follow up to the wildly successful rosé project of Chateau Miraval to create a single rosé champagne called Fleur de Miraval. Only rosé, and the official Champagne of the Oscars.

"I'd like to thank the academy..." that we are lucky to have a few bottles left of the first edition they released at a great price! For that matter we also have a nice collection of other Champagne from Pierre Peters that would be perfect for you to chill and open next Sunday as you give your own acceptance speech for wining “Best Oscars Party”!

An extraordinary achievement this, made by the famously difficult saignée method, yet with a wonderful onion skin colour and poised aromas of lemongrass, small red berried fruit and pink grapefruit. Rodolphe Péters from the eponymous Champagne house in Le Mesnil sur Oger demonstrates why he is seen as one of the very finest winemakers in Champagne, coaxing wonderful complexity from his reserve wines ( aged in a solera) and ensuring definition and purity from the base wines, the purity and elegance of the 25% Pinot Noir component quite breathtaking. Despite the relatively modest time on lees (three years), there is definite pedigree here, and, given the aspiration to forge a new style of rosé, a triumphant aura of complexity and latent potential. Rodolphe already has a reputation for making some of the finest Chardonnay-based Champagnes; now the inspired partnership with the Perrins of Beaucastel, who, it has to be admitted, know a thing or two about red wine, has yielded a hugely impressive debut for the Fleur de Miraval. Behind these two winemaking giants there is the owner, a certain Brad Pitt, who has achieved a degree of success elsewhere (!) but who has been surprisingly hands-on with this project, as of course he is at sister company Miraval in Provence. Not a bad team, all in all. What’s more, this wine is appreciably different to the other prestige rosé Champagnes on the market, without in any way losing out in terms of profundity, or, at a more basic level, the power to give pleasure. The very high expectations have been matched... and then some! -  Simon Field MW, Decanter

Vinepair 10 Best Champagnes for Every Occasion (2021)

Inspired by the Solera method, Pierre Peters Champagne House began its journey of incorporating more than 20 vintages into their reserve wine in 1988. This Blanc de Blancs contains 40 percent reserve wine and is exclusively composed of Chardonnay from Grand Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs. This grower Champagne is rich with a balanced mix of toasted brioche and vanilla notes. It rounds a corner, introducing perfectly ripe green apple and finished with a spritz of Meyer lemon oil. The quality of the fruit used is clearly high in this lavish and full of flavor Cuvée. - Vinepair

Pierre Peters Rose for Albane Brut NV

$104.89 (750ml) In Stock - Buy Now

94 WA / 94 JD / 93 JS / 92 AG / 91 WS

Based on the 2016 vintage and disgorged in January 2021, the new release of Péters's NV Brut Rosé for Albane is already showing very well, bursting with aromas of plum, peonies, orange rind, pomelo and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, pillow and vinous, it's deep and seamless, its fleshy core of fruit framed by lively acids and animated by a pearly mousse, concluding with a long and sapid finish. Seamless and complex, this stands out as a particularly good release of this bottling. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

The NV Champagne Rosé For Albanne Brut pours a medium pink hue and is expressive with soft floral notes of rose petal, raspberry, and apricot. The palate is juicy and fresh, with a chalky texture and structure as well as more orchard fruit of ripe peach. An incredibly charming wine that is hard to resist, this can carry on its own or throughout a meal. The finish is well-balanced and offers a light saline touch. Drink 2023-2033. - Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck .com

2017 Pierre Peters L'Esprit

Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru

$105.89 (750ml) In Stock - Buy Now

93+ WA

The blend of their vintage 100 % Grand Cru Chardonnay Champagne L’Esprit originates from four single vineyards located in Le Mesnil, Avize, Cramant, Oger and is elaborated only during the finest harvest years. 4.5 - 5.5 g/L dosage.

The wine is a luminous pale gold color with hints of green typical of the Chardonnay varietal. The mousse is fine and regular with a pretty ribbon of strong bubbles. The first approach is subtle which, once aerated, opens to floral notes (lime-tree) and dried fruits. Notes of citrus and almond follow with finishing touches of minerality bringing both complexity and elegance. Other than vintages marked by hot and dry growing seasons, L’Esprit typically has a well-balanced attack which is both frank and stylishly elegant. Delicate notes of lemon and stone fruit and flowers are followed by notes of tangerine and toasted bread. The finish is persistent with candied citrus flavors and a chalky minerality that adds a twist of salinity. This Champagne represents the perfect balance between strength and finesse.
