Elegant, age-worthy reds from Piemonte

From the 2016, 2017 and 2018 vintages we offer some beautiful expressions of nebbiolo. A run of three great vintages with stunning wines from the vineyards around the village of Barbaresco. The wines require less initial aging than their cousins in Barolo, and typically are harvested slightly earlier. But the flavors and aromas of nebbiolo come shining through, and these wines age just as gracefully.  Often referred to as being more 'feminine', the reality is that these are wines of elegance and grace, and surprising depth.

Cherry, kirsch and peony aromas and flavors are the main features of this delicate red. These themes are accented by tar, tobacco and underbrush notes, showing an underpinning of mineral as this builds to a long finish. Beautifully balanced, with a white pepper aftertaste. Rose petal, iris, dark-skinned berry and spice aromas mingle with balsamic notes of camphor on this fragrant, stunning red. Elegantly structured, the precise palate evokes cranberry, Marasca cherry, star anise and thyme set against tightly knit but refined tannins and bright acidity.
