From the Producer of Chateau Latour in Bordeaux, Chateau Grillet in the Northern Rhone, Eisele Estate in Napa, and Domaine d'Eugenie in Burgundy.
"Alessandro Noli, former winemaker at Château Grillet, is now fully embedded in Burgundy. Noli seems to be imbuing Clos de Tart with greater finesse and nerve whilst keeping the identity of the vineyard. With no expense being spared in reconstructing the winery, it will be fascinating to witness the next decade of Clos de Tart." - Neal Martin, Vinous Media

La Forge de Tart isn't made every year - there was no 2012, 2013 or 2015 - but when it is made, it uses the younger vines planted between 1999 and 2011. For people who can't afford the grand vin, it's a good introduction to the shift in style over the last two or three vintages. It has subtle red fruits, floral top-notes, nicely handled 80% new wood and appealing precision, texture and minerality. - Tim Atkin, Decanter
Made up from the younger vines planted in 1999, 2005 and 2011. It has a fine purple colour, with soft red raspberry fruit, a little firm behind. Good wine that merits its 1er cru labelling, but does not feel like a baby grand cru. Tasted: November 2018. - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

This comes from the section known as La Forge, plus a young vine planting from 2011, and “Ballonge 2” where the plant selection could be better – it will be top-grafted shortly. One third whole bunch in the Ballonge component makes about 15% in all. This is a glowing purple colour, without the black. A light reduction on the nose which later shows as toasty barrel. Very complete, sensual, with good unforced acidity, more red fruit than black. Still a certain masculinity. Surprising length and depth of aftertaste. Clean and fresh after tasting the 2018. There are 15 barrels of La Forge du Tart, with half in new wood. Tasted: November 2020. - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

4000 bottles will be made. 50% new oak and 20% whole bunch with a little bit of press wine. This comes from sectors known as La Forge, Ballonge 2 and Plantation 2011. The first two are being top-grafted away from clonal material to make use of their own selection of pinot. Very dense purple black colour. There is a slight and not unattractive metallic aspect in the dark red fruit which I ascribe to iron oxide in the soil. This is very substantial on the palate and really fills out at the finish. A proper wine. 13.8% alcohol. Tasted: November 2021—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
