"The 2018s show a transition in approach that is incredibly exciting. Long-Dépaquit is now very clearly a name to watch in Chablis."  - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Long-Depaquit is located at the heart of the village of Chablis, in Burgundy’s Yonne department. A stroll through the estate’s grounds, which boast centuries-old trees and a rose garden, offers a unique, timeless experience.

An exceptional 65-hectare legacy, the vineyards benefit from a sustainable approach to viticulture. Limiting yields and keeping interventions to a minimum during the vinification process helps create authentic, mineral, elegant wines. Barrel ageing is used in moderation to best preserve the expression of each terroir.

A new winery was built at the estate in 2014. Not only is it more eco-friendly, it also allows us to continue to improve the quality of our wines by giving them more purity and precision. - Domaine Long-Depaquit

"This venerable 66-hectare Chablis estate, owned by Beaune's Maison Albert Bichot, boasts enviable holdings—including fully 25 hectares of premier and grand cru land, the fruit of which is harvested by hand—that are complemented by purchased fruit. Maturation is in used wood and stainless steel, generally lending only a discrete patina to the wines. Estate manager Cécilia Trimaille—a former assistant vineyard manager at Château Margaux—who took the reins here in 2018 and who disclaims any intention to radically alter an aesthetic that emphasizes purity and incisiveness, while simultaneously displaying plenty of appetite to make incremental improvement in the vineyards and cellar. I'm looking forward to following Long-Depaquit's evolution over the years to come." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

Bright, tender lemon and fragrant summer blossom give a sense of delicacy to this wine's chalky nose. The chalky, concentrated and textured palate is also pervaded by lemon zestiness that makes the mouth water. Yet the wine also has generosity and lovely balance. Richness and freshness are anchored in the stony depth of the wine, making it a joy to drink. Over the years the chalkiness will become even more pronounced. Anne Krebiehl MW - Wine Enthusiast

Beautiful subtlety on this wine's nose recalls smoky lemon, citrus pith and molten candle wax. The palate also holds these notions, bolstering that lemony waxiness with thick, layered chalkiness and pithy, mouthwatering freshness. This is concentrated and bold, offering energy and drive, with a contradictory heat emanating from a cool core. A compelling wine, it needs to calm down a little.
