Summer is coming! Time to crack open something white, refreshing and delicious. We have lots of great wines from all over the world, and this is the perfect time of year to grab some bottles for those backyard cookouts, fishing trips, evenings at the beach, or just sitting on the porch with friends.

I’ve put together some highlights of our white wines, all here in our cellar, under $100, and ready to ship to you.

2021 Tolpuddle Chardonnay Tasmania

The nose is fresh and ripe with incredible structure, showing quince, candied lemon peel, grapefruit juice and subtle oak. A lingering acidity completes the frame of this outstanding wine. Pedro Ballesteros Torres MW: A wonder of lightness and precision; a hedonistic mix of immediate restrained pleasure and long-term intellectual provocation. An amazingly subtle and complex finish. I adore this wine. Amanda Barnes: Aromas of gunflint, lavender, lemon peel and wet stones lead into a mouthfilling yet svelte wine with mouthwatering acidity and a long, savoury finish. The 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc might be one of the best examples of this white that' I've tasted. Incredible pear, white flowers, salty minerality, and hints of ripe citrus define the bouquet, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, has remarkable purity, flawless balance, and a great finish. A blend of Clairette, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Bourboulenc that's brought up mostly in foudre (there's a small part in demi-muids and barrel), it deserves 2-3 years in the cellar and will have two decades or more of overall longevity. - Jeb Dunnuck

The 2019 La Louvière Blanc is well-defined on the nose, featuring scents of green apple, nettle and pear and a touch of melted wax. The palate is well balanced, taut and fresh, with a fine line of acidity and nicely integrated oak. The finish feels understated yet supplies just the right amount of bitterness. The 2019 Chablis Vaulorent 1er Cru has an expressive nose of crushed stone, mirabelle and light honeysuckle aromas, one of the classiest from Brocard in 2019. The palate is fresh and saline on the entry, with driving acidity, superb tension and a judicious kiss of salinity on the racy finish. A great Chablis from Brocard. Primarily Clairette (60%) and Ugni Blanc (30%), with bits of Bourboulenc, Marsanne and Rolle, the 2021 Bandol Blanc was still in tank when I visited early last year. It presents a striking juxtaposition of ripe pears and honeyed richness with brighter notes of fresh lime juice on the nose and medium-bodied palate, finishing with a sense of plush richness balanced by mouthwatering citrus zest and brine.—Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate
