#48 Wine Spectator Top 100 2021
A fresh, crystalline white, this offers lemon, green apple, almond and salty mineral flavors. Though rich, it is detailed and well-defined by vibrant acidity. Shows fine balance and length, leaving a hint of wild herbs on the finish. Drink now through 2025. - BS, Wine Spectator

Another success is the 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret, an attractive wine that offers up notions of citrus oil, nutmeg and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and structured, with fine depth at the core and chalky dry extract, this is a highlight this year.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
2019 Latour-Giraud Meursault Charmes 1er Cru 2019
94 JM
Half comes from the upper part of Charmes and half below. One ouvrée is from 1930. Bright lemon colour, just bottled on Tuesday but even through the light sulphur I can detect the soft weight of classic Charmes. Still some gas here, yellow fruit, a light butteriness but enough grip to maintain the balance. Really very good wine. Long and nuanced. Ripe lemon zest notes as well. Jean-Pierre wants to avoid a massive Charmes and he succeeds. Tasted: February 2021. –Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
2019 William Fevre Vaulorent 1er Cru

Cropped at a mere 34 hectoliters per hectare, the 2019 Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent is superb, unwinding in the glass with notes of citrus oil, crisp green orchard fruit, white peach, iodine and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with racy acids and a long, iodine-inflected finish, it's the most complete premier cru in the range.—William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

Note: from a 2.2 ha parcel at the bottom section of the vineyard; even so, the vineyard is so steep here that it must be worked entirely by hand as tractors would be dangerous to use
Tasting note: This too offers a wonderfully broad range of classic Chablis elements that include mineral reduction, iodine, ocean breeze and quinine on the citrus-infused nose. The racy, detailed and beautifully textured and focused flavors deliver outstanding length on the balanced, saliva-inducing and sneaky long finish. This is also quite classy and if not quite as complete as the Preuses at present, the track record this wine has of developing superb depth over time gives it the slight edge at this early juncture.
