Based largely on Marsanne, with some Viognier as well, the 2020 Côtes Du Rhône Clavin Blanc comes from vines around the estate, just across the road from Châteauneuf du Pape. The Vermentino of Tenuta Guado al Tasso has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and characterized by hints of citrus, white flowers and tropical fruit. On the palate it is sapid and of good persistence, with a fresh and pleasantly citrusy finish. Although yields were lower in 2022, the wine benefits from the cooler coastal breezes. It has been produced since 1996.

The 2020 Semillon El Enemigo from Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo hails from a 70-year-old vineyard. Aged with flor for a year before 15 months in barrels, it’s a golden yellow in the glass. On the nose there are notes of flint, honey, a little hazelnut and cashew nut underneath the flor-based aromas of white flowers and pear. In the mouth, however, it’s broad with a good, voluminous flow and a clove backdrop.
