"The Hébrart wines are truly of both place and person, the kind, welcoming and generous qualities that Jean-Paul Hébrart exudes can be seen in all of his Champagnes. And while he could easily rest on his laurels at this point, JP instead continues to expand his range, experimenting with lower dosage levels in his benchmark cuvées, and producing stunning Coteaux Champenoise from recently acquired, historic vineyards." - Richard Juhlin, 4000 Champagnes

Golden yellow in color, the Rive Gauche Rive Droit 2015 is a 50% Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that was barrel fermented with indigenous yeast, aged four years and finished with a four gram per liter dosage. Rolling leisurely out of the glass with opulent, toasty brioche aromas interlaced with lemon meringue pie, honey, almond nougat, and apple butter, it leads to a medium to full-bodied palate with suggestions of bruised, ripe stone fruit and a creamy, rounded mid-palate wrapped in a cloak of sizzling acidity. Refreshing throughout, mineral notes dot the lingering finish along with a tiny lemon peel twist. The bottle tasted was disgorged January 2020. - Sarah Mayo, Wine Independent

The 2015 Extra Brut Rive Gauche/Rive Droit is half Pinot Meunier, half Chardonnay, half from the Vallée de la Marne, and half from the Côte des Blancs, including parcels in Aÿ, Avize, Chouilly and Oiry, all are massal selections of mature vines with low yields. The wines were fermented spontaneously in oak. Salty, buttery short crust on the nose continues seamlessly on a medium body, imbued equally with mellow apple fruit and salty yeast. This is clean-cut, structured, precise and speaks more of Pinot than Chardonnay, but the latter's brightness shine nonetheless in this tricky vintage. Disgorged: April 21, 2022. - Anne Krebiehl MW - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Spontaneous fermentation in old barrels; 50% Chardonnay from Chouilly, Avize and Oiry and 50% Pinot Noir, mostly from Aÿ. Plenty of precision and focus for 2015, although the ripeness of the year is felt in the concentration of toasty citrus, blue fruits and some baked greengage, richened with honey on toast, cream and gentle spice. Bold, saturated but still offering refreshment. - Tom Hewson, Decanter

50% Chardonnay (Oiry, Chouilly, Avize) and 50% Pinot Noir (Aÿ, Grande Vallée de la Marne). The main part of the cuvée is vinified and aged in oak barrels, spontaneous fermentation, no filtration. No malo. Sur lattes for 72 months.
Very golden. Waxy and tropical and frangipani, but with a forceful swag of rich, sour cream. This is very good. Concentrated, rich, distinctive and dramatic. Minty flair on the finish. Tarragon. And an earthiness. Lots here. A big change from the other Hébrart wines. - Tamlyn Curren, JancisRobinson

Disgorged in July 2019, Hébrart's 2015 Brut Premier Cru Special Club is showing as well as I predicted, wafting from the glass with scents of white peach, apple blossom, iris, papaya and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, charming and gourmand, it's elegantly fleshy, with succulent acids, an ample core of fruit, a delicate pinpoint mousse and a mouthwateringly saline finish. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate

The 2015 Brut Spécial Club Oger Grand Cru is an attractive, powerful wine. Citrus peel, white flowers, chalk and the savory notes typical of so many 2015 are nicely laced together. I would give the 2015 a year or two in the cellar to come together, as it is a bit disjointed at present, but I would not wait too long, as flavors that are savory today may very well develop into more overpowering vegetal notes over time. The Oger is a blend taken from the Terres de Noël, Brulis, Champ Nérons and Fondy lieux-dits. Dosage is 4 grams per liter. Disgorged: October 14, 2019. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Ripe raspberry and nectarine fruit notes are underscored by minerally smoke and brine in this well-balanced Champagne. Lightly juicy acidity keeps you returning for another sip, and hints of honeysuckle and ginger play on the finish. Disgorged July 2019. Drink now through 2028. - Alison Napjus, Wine Spectator
