2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the Buck Cobb Zinfandel. Planted at 1500 feet on the volcanic, granitic hillside of our property in Plymouth, Amador County. The Cobb Vineyard Zinfandel is an homage to “Buck” Cobb from whom they purchased the vineyard and the Karly property in Amador. They even added a little bi-plane symbol to the label to commemorate Buck’s time as an aerobatic pilot. The rocky conditions and more extreme weather (including snow) in this dry-farmed vineyard make for a hearty, robust Zinfandel. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

From a site Turley owns in Paso Robles, the 2016 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard exhibits a boisterous, fruit-driven bouquet of ripe raspberries, cherries and kirsch. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and generous, with tangy acids and fine structuring tannins largely concealed in a sweet core of fruit, tangy acids, light structuring tannins asserting themselves on the back end. 2020 Turley Cellars Zinfandel Juvenile

Though the vast majority of Turey Cellars wines are single vineyard designates, Juvenile is actually composed of a variety of young vines that have been replanted in several of their old vine sites. They tag the younger vines then pick them separately and make a distinct wine. Juvenile vines range in age from about 6-25 years, and which is produced from a selection of their best vineyards across California. The 2020 vintage was about 50% of the normal production for the vintage.
