The 2020 Meursault Perrières 1er Cru is well-defined with attractive hazelnut and walnut scents combining with the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taught and fresh with ample weight, hints of almond and white peach towards the finish. This is a very elegant and classy Meursault from Grivault.--Neal Martin, Vinous Media
Grivault owns the largest portion of Meursault Perrieres – 2.54 hectares total. The Grivault wines are regular medal winners and frequently earn the coveted “Tasteviné” designation from the Chevaliers du Tastevin. Michel Bardet, the grandson of Albert Grivault, manages the domaine today. After Albert Grivault passed, the wines were predominantly sold to negociants through métayage (lease) arrangements until Michel Bardet resumed domaine bottling in the 1970s and 1980s. A client from those métayage days, Lalou Bize-Leroy, continues to buy Perrieres from Grivault.
