Tarte tatin and baked nectarine flavours, this is concentrated and powerful, with plenty of truffle, saffron and cinnamon, and a zest-filled mouthwatering finish. The concentration means thing power down a little through the mid palate, but this is a luscious wine. - Jane Anson, Decanter

The 2020 Château d’Arche is a little more introverted on the nose of marmalade and Aszú-like scents, yellow flowers and beeswax. The fresh palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced entry, tangy Seville orange marmalade and dried honey. It needs a little more persistence but I appreciate the spiciness, stem ginger and even a touch of rhubarb lingering on the aftertaste. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media

Pale orange-gold. Quite an intriguing nose with some savour and persistence. There seems to be some ambition in this vintage. Definite barley-sugar character on the end, as well as life and freshness. Proper stuff. - Jancis Robinson
