The 2019 Château Balestard La Tonnelle is a ripe, fleshy effort with lots of black and blue fruits as well as notes of roasted herbs, chocolate, and subtle oak. Playing in the medium to full-bodied end of the spectrum, it offers serious ripeness, good purity of fruit, and quality tannins. It certainly has outstanding potential. - Jeb Dunnuck
