Fabulous New Value Blend - Robert Parker, via Twitter
Nestled among rolling hills in Paso Robles sits our Camatta Hills vineyard. This 600 acre site is planted primarily with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Roussanne....From this vineyard we are proud to introduce The Waymaker, representing the best of the Paso Robles region. The foundation of the Waymaker is Syrah, a varietal that demonstrates great richness and generosity from Camatta Hills. Cabernet Sauvignon comprises the majority of the balance of the blend, and lends great depth of fruit as well as lifted spice notes. The Waymaker was aged in a combination of seasoned oak barrels with a small amount of new oak for 17 months to both round and soften the tannins and bring in some additional spice notes. The excellent 2012 vintage delivered warm and dry conditions, perfect for the inaugural release of this wine. Winery Notes
