94 JS / 92 VM
94 Points James Suckling: Dried fruit with strawberry and plum undertones. Crushed stones and tea leaves in the background. Medium to full body, velvety tannins and a long and savory finish. Shows intensity and panache. Drink or hold.
92 Points Vinous Media: Vivid red. An intensely perfumed nose displays scents of fresh dark berries, potpourri and Asian spices, backed by a hint of musky herbs. Juicy and broad on the palate, offering sappy blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a suggestion of spicecake. Shows excellent clarity and power on the gently tannic finish, which leaves behind gently sweet dark fruit and floral pastille notes. -Antonio Galloni
"When Mother Nature offers a bountiful year, we routinely bottle this entry level Pinot Noir. As the name implies, the 'Select' is a selection of barrels representing all the vineyard blocks on the farm at the discretion of the winemaker. The most easy-going and approachable of all our Pinot Noirs, the 'Select' is a moderately priced, estate grown wine and a worthy accompaniment to a casual meal of salmon, lamb or wild game." -Winery
