This is even fresher and cooler than the Mercurey with its layered nose that offers up wisps of citrus blossom, green apple, white peach, petrol and orange pekoe tea. There is outstanding delineation to the racy, intense and more mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine depth and length. The 2017 Santenay is a terrific expression of the appellation. Sweet red cherry fruit and floral notes are lifted in a precise, nicely balanced Burgundy that will drink well right out of the gate. Although not complex, the 2017 is delicious for what it is.- Antonio Galloni – Vinous Media
