This is a powerful second wine of Pape Clément with a dense and deep palate of dark berries, chocolate and walnuts, as well as stone and minerals. Full body, yet compact and chewy with a polished and intense tannin backbone. With the addition of Le Sartre in this second wine, it is now its own wine.-James Suckling

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Clémentin de Pape Clement offers seductive scents of warm black plums, blackcurrant cordial and Black Forest cake with hints of mocha, Indian spices and violets. The 2018 Clémentin de Pape Clément is gorgeous. Gravel, smoke, tobacco, licorice, dark red cherry and menthol infuse this striking, layered second wine from Pape Clément. Aromatically expressive yet also quite dense and layered, the 2018 has plenty to recommend it, especially once the tannins settle down a bit.
