Domaine De Grangeon Ardeche Chatus 2012 (750ML)

Chatus, pronounced (cha-two), is an ancient grape variety cultivated by only three estates in the world all located in Ardeche, France. The grape had almost entirely disappeared but efforts to revive the ancient varietal have kept it around for us to enjoy. This grape was transported to the Piedmont region in Italy where it is known as the father of Nebbiolo and is the backbone of great Piedmont wines.

Blueberries, blackberries and cherries along with notes of mushroom, forest floor, violets, leather and coffee. There are many flavors but they are extremely harmonious and the layers are a treat to ponder. -GVWM Team
