The 1955 Rivesaltes from Philippe Gayral's new find, Domaine La Sobilane, has a slightly more conservative bouquet compared to other vintages, touches of marzipan and cr¬me brÈl'e infusing the walnut and hazelnut aromas. The palate is viscous on the entry, honeyed in texture, very cohesive with chocolate, walnut and vanilla extract on the seductive finish. This is very fine. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
