Bright yellow. Musky lemon and grapefruit aromas seem virtually unaffected by the bottling. Wonderfully fine-grained and intense, offering great finesse and lift to the perfumed citrus and white peach flavors. This classically dry, strongly citrussy wine leaves behind a palate-staining perfume. A great vintage for this bottling, which Remy did in fact show me after the Bienvenue. Stephan Tanzer, Vinous Media
A racy, delineated white, whose lemon, hazelnut and mineral flavors ride the racy structure to a lingering conclusion. Long and mouthwatering, with a savory, minerally aftertaste. Best from 2017 through 2026. 74 cases imported. Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator
The 2012 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles has an energetic bouquet with very fine delineation: scents of cold limestone, apple blossom and flint emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a round, sensual opening. There is very good matiere here with an impressive, honeysuckle-tinged finish that lingers long in the mouth. Excellent. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
This is arguably the most aromatically elegant and refined wine among the Leflaive 1ers with its pure aromas of honeysuckle, citrus, pear and white peach. There is good richness and volume to the equally pure, intense and detailed flavors that brim with minerality on the delineated, focused and notably dry finish. This impeccably well-balanced effort should reward at least 10 years of cellar time and is very much a classically styled Pucelles. Highly recommended. Allen Meadows, Burghound
