Critic Scores, Reviews & Descriptions
50% Grenache, 50% Syrah. La Chapelle is a fruit driven red wine designed for an instant pleasure. Made naturally from very
low yield old Grenache and Syrah, its round and supple tannins fully express red fruit aromas when consumed young. Each varietal is vinified separately with indigenous yeasts for a 2 to 3-week-maceration in concrete tanks under controlled temperature preserving the freshness and the balance of the fruit. Organic.
"Domaine Duseigneur is located on the left bank of the river Rhône, in the village of Châteauneufdu-Pape. The 70 acres of the Estate straddle the appellations of Châteauneuf du pape, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Laudun and Lirac. The Estate was created in 1967 by Jean Duseigneur, heir to four generations of vine-growers. He was immediately convinced that those hills of red clay overlooking the river, invaded by the garrigue and the green oaks, would give birth to a great terroir. In 2004, Bernard met Philippe Faure-Brac, 1992 World’s Best Sommelier, who work now at the domaine. Together, they are now writing the gripping and unusual story of Domaine Duseigneur." -Winery
