Tasting note: Here the fruit is more from the red side of the spectrum and while the nose isn't quite as spicy, it is both more elegant and airier. The delicious middleweight flavors possess a more sophisticated texture along with a subtle bead of minerality on the firmer, moderately austere and slightly more persistent finish. This too is very good for its level and worth considering--Allen Meadows, Burghound 

The choice for the Clos was to work with 25% whole bunch vinification, 25% with the main stem cut out, and 50% destemmed. Mid crimson in colour. The nose is subdued, perhaps strawberry the dominant fruit, not quite as clean perhaps, some more subdued fruit behind, darker notes, a bit of pepper at the back.
