Eugenie Vosne Romanee Village Clos D'Eugenie 2015 (750ML)

The 2015 Vosne-Romanée le Clos d'Eugenie has a soft mulberry and dark cherry-scented bouquet, the fruit profile becoming a little darker as it opens up. The palate is medium-bodied with a smooth velvety texture and showing a little more "bite" and tension than the village cru, especially on the tensile finish. I can see this giving a decade’s worth of pleasure, but do afford it at least two or three years in bottle. - Neal Martin, Wine Advocate

Here the more restrained nose is more floral and cooler with its ultra-pure aromas of dark currant, cherry and plenty of Vosne-style spice elements. The mouth feel of the more detailed medium weight flavors is notably finer as they deliver even better length on the finish where a hint of bitter cherry pit arises.
