Medium red. Redcurrant, chocolate and smoked meat on the nose. Broader and sweeter than the Chaignots, with darker flavors of blackberry, currant and minerals. Classically dry, minerally wine with strong fruit. The firmly tannic finish is accentuated by a peppery quality. - Stephen Tanzer

Earthier and not nearly as spicy with an exuberant red fruit character to the nose. The flavors are very appealing but not as dense as the Vignerondes with a firmly tannic finish and quality length.
