A medium-bodied red that starts off beautifully, with attractive currant and berry character, as well as black olive and violet. Fresh and vivid. - James Suckling
The 2021 Château Feytit-Clinet comes from a 6.68-hectare vineyard located between Trotanoy and Latour a Pomerol, not far from Clinet. Based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that will spend 16 months in 70% new barrels, it offers a round, fleshy, medium to full-bodied style that brings plenty of mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and ample darker, blue fruits as well as some classic Pomerol earthy and floral nuances. It's beautifully done and certainly offers more pleasure and opulence than most out there. Tasted twice. - Jeb Dunnuck
Beautiful richness through the palate, good quality, precision and depth, and plenty of Pomerol punch, although with more of a bite than usual. This delivers a ton of graphite and pencil lead, but also cassis, blackberry, earthy tannins, good stuff. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
So much aromatic complexity on the nose here, full of dried flowers, herbs and exotic spices as well as fruit. Very floral and absolutely beguiling. Quite a dark profile on the palate, with sweet black liquorice and soft clove to the fore giving a savoury tone rather than overt fruitiness at this point, but excellent texture and overall weight. You get the Pomerol power but also seductive qualities. I really like this. Michel Rolland consultancy. - Georgina Hindle, Decanter
Rich and muscular, the 2021 Feytit Clinet offers up aromas of cassis, blackberries, violets and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's a generous, structured Pomerol built around powdery tannins and lively acids. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
The 2021 Feytit-Clinet is a pretty understated release for this property, where the wines are often larger in scale. Soft contours wrap around a core of plum, red cherry, spice, new leather and white pepper. As it was en primeur, the 2021 is a relatively open-knit, accessible Feytit-Clinet that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Sweet floral and spice notes grace the silky finish. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
