Folk Machine Charbono 2013 (750ML)

Typical for the grape, this wine is very dark in color and heavy in the nose. It unexpectedly actually drinks very pretty, almost light. The tannin level is very moderate given the way it looks and smells.

The label was designed by James and Landon Dowlen. I had this idea that we would create something that looked like an old fruit box label to fit the heritage nature of the grape. We were also inspired by some old bullet boxes that I saw at the Decoy museum outside Baltimore. James through in the forklift for good measure. -Winemaker
