The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Selection Pre-Colombière contains 60% whole-bunch fruit, though it is difficult to discern on the nose, which is very well defined with touches of sous-bois/autumn leaves infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. A finely chiseled Vosne-Romanée with impressive mineralité and tension toward the lightly spiced finish. Excellent. Neal Martin – Vinous Media
Note: a creative cuvée name that combines parts of the following vineyards: Le Pré de la Folie, La Colombière and Aux Communes
Tasting note: This is also quite spicy with slightly cooler aromas of plum, dark cherry, violet, lavender and hints of exotic tea. The sleek, intense and serious medium-bodied flavors culminate in a firm, complex and impressively long finale. This is presently very compact but displays excellent potential for its level and is a wine that should blossom in time. Recommended. Sweet Spot – Outstanding – Allen Meadows – Burghound
A blend made from Pré de la Folie, Aux Communes, Colombière. Fresh clean purple, with a little less perfume than Vigneux. 60% whole bunch vinification is not so evident on the nose. Juicy dark cherry fruit. More vertical says Pascal. Black fruit notes and a little spice to finish. All quite self-contained, yet with good length. Jasper Morris – Inside Burgundy
