Gorgeous expression on the nose, grass, lemon, green apple, gooseberry and soft white floral touches. Such succulence on the palate, a rush of pear, peach juice, almost sweet with a sucrosity that is so appealing and gives both weight, texture and structure but also with a delicacy and light touch. Density of fruit flavours - unctuous and mouth watering but an aerial style with such definition. It has that amazing ability to be tense and direct but also softly expansive from start to finish. So delicious. One third Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc, one third Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc and one third Sémillon. Drinking Window 2023 - 2035--Georgina Hindle, Decanter
Rather exotic aromas and flavors of dried apple, papaya and licorice. Medium-bodied with a fresh, creamy palate and a long, flavorful, minerally finish. Nicely salty, too. Thought-provoking and pleasurable. 67% sauvignon blanc and 33% semillon.--James Suckling
The 2019 Grand Village (Lafleur) Blanc is a great expression of Sauvignon (I think there might be some Semillon in there as well) offering ripe citrus, honeyed lime, chalky mineral, and hints of minty herb-like aromas and flavors. Vibrant, racy, and pure, it's medium-bodied on the palate and has a layered, elegant mouthfeel that gains depth and richness with air. It certainly plays in the racier end of the spectrum, yet it brings plenty of mid-palate depth as well as length on the finish. It should keep for a decade. - Jeb Dunnuck
Lift and freshness from the first hit, with juicy white peach, citrus and oyster shell. The nose is richly textured, a little subdued at first but showing precision and clarity. 12,000 bottles in this vintage, with fermentation in barrel, then 20% new oak. Around half of the planted Sauvignon Blanc is from Sancerre genetics. From the same family as Château Lafleur in Pomerol. - Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux
The 2019 Grand Village Blanc, 25% Sémillon and 75% Sauvignon Blanc (Bordeaux clones and massal selection) has a perfumed bouquet of yellow plum, nectarine and honeysuckle. The palate is well balanced with a waxy texture, dried apricot and pear, lovely weight and salinity surfacing on the finish. It is one of the finest Grand Village Blanc that I have tasted. - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
The 2019 Grand Village Blanc skips out of the glass with vivacious scents of fresh pears, white peaches, and lemon grass with a hint of chalk dust. Medium-bodied, it is elegant and refreshing, with great intensity and compelling chalk-laced tension on the finish. The blend is 74% Sauvignon Blanc and 26% Semillon. - Lisa Perotti-Brown, Wine Independent
