The 2022 Condrieu La Doriane is slightly more reserved and reticent compared to past vintages, offering a terrific perfume of orange blossom, honeyed flowers, and subtle spicy, mineral nuances. Aged nine months in new barrels, it's medium to full-bodied, has a focused, elegant mouthfeel, and terrific mid-palate depth. Cask sample. A clovey spice on the nose, oak is forward and present. Big, dense and powerful attack with white peach, rich and weighty and a slight minerality. The oak is well managed on the layered finish. Attractive. (AC)
