Attractive lemon colour, and the nose is cleaner than the regular Bourgogne Blanc, with more white fruit, which fills the mouth very successfully, then a light touch of warmth and a little bit of barrel toast to finish. Just the right acidity at the back and noticeably more length. Tasted: October 2020. Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Note: also from Meursault vines but from soil with more gravel and rock content
Tasting note: This is also reduced though again, the underlying fruit definitely seems ripe. There is slightly better verve to the more detailed flavors that terminate in a citrus-inflected finale that offers just a bit more depth and persistence. Worth a look. Outstanding. Top Value.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
