This bottle spent at least 20 years in Krug's cellars, receiving its cork in winter 2004 - 2005. Composed of a selection of the year's most characterful wines, Krug 1995 is the expression of the year 1995 revealed by Krug. As the year 1995 unfolded, nature showed its impulsive side in every season. The mild winter ended with a cold snap and the warm spring was punctuated by shocks of frost well into April. After this changeable start to the growing season, the vines basked in the sunshine of a seemingly endless summer, the likes of which are seldom seen in the region. Then, as the harvest approached, the nights began to cool, tempering the ripeness of the grapes with a crisp freshness.
