Note: from very old vines
Tasting note: Moderate wood influence is present on the ripe and very fresh aromas of green fruit, shellfish and seaweed. The succulent and very generous, even lavish, flavors possess an abundance of sappy dry extract that buffers the firm but not hard acid spine maintaining the balance on the equally long finish. This is less mineral driven than the Les Clos but there is presently a bit more depth which should only increase with time in bottle. Sweet Spot.--Allen Meadows, Burghound
The 2020 Chablis Château Grenoueilles Grand Cru is another impressive wine from the co-operative. The aromatics are nicely chiselled with a malic bent, Granny Smith apples and light sea spray scents coming through. The palate has the weight and concentration you expect from a Grand Cru coupled with a fine bead of acidity. Perhaps it loses some of its complexity just towards the finish, but otherwise this will do nicely. -- Neal Martin, Vinous Media
