The deep garnet-purple colored 2020 le Crock comes skipping out of the glass with carefree scents of fresh blackberries, black raspberries and redcurrant jelly, with touches of dried Provence herbs and Sichuan pepper. The 2020 Le Crock is quite backward on the nose, with mulberry and loamy aromas, hints of melted tar and gravel. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a spicy, peppery entry, moderate acidity, just a little bitterness towards the grainy-textured finish.  - Neal Martin, Vinous Media
