A beautiful white with dried mango, lime and ripe-apple character. Hints of ash and stone, too. It’s full-bodied and layered with lots of fruit and intensity. - James Suckling
The 2020 Le Nardian is a blend of 70% Sauvignon, 15% Sémillon and 15% Muscadelle, coming in at 13.95% alcohol and a pH of 3.40. The picking dates were August 27th for the Sauvignon and the Sémillon and September 2nd for the Muscadelle. It was fermented in French oak barrels, 50% new. It leaps from the glass with exuberant scents of fresh pineapple, green mango and ripe Bosc pears with hints of honeysuckle and wet pebbles. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with tropical fruit flavors, delivering a decadent oiliness to the texture and a lively backbone, finishing long and invigorating. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine advocate
Touch of reduction, this has depth and acidity, but the texture is almost satiny, a little waxy, doesn't give the grip that I look for in a white wine. Having said that, there is a zest and life to the citrus fruits. 50% new oak. Already bottled, where previously they would go up to nine months in barrel and more recently closer to six months. - Jane Anson, Decanter
