Ripe and opulent, this gives an impression of cherry jam, along with rose, raspberry and spice aromas and flavors. These quickly yield to assertive tannins, which will require some time to resolve. Best from 2023 through 2042. - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator
Tasting note: An exuberantly spicy nose reflects liqueur-like aromas of plum, black cherry, anise and sandalwood. The mouth coating and velvet-textured medium-bodied flavors possess exceptionally good richness before concluding in a highly seductive finish because while it's firm, the sap renders the supporting structure to be all but invisible. This is very Suchots in style and it should be approachable young. Allen Meadows – Burghound – Outstanding
Dark red-ruby. Displays pungent high tones in a fresh porty way, offering aromas of chocolate mint and syrupy black olive tapenade (Mounir Saouma refers to this vineyard as the Côte-Rotie of Burgundy). Similarly wild and high-pitched in the mouth, offering outstanding energy and definition to its flavors of raspberry, spices, minerals and mint. Dense but light on its feet, offering incredible verve for such a ripe wine. Verging on extreme today but this liqueur-like elixir avoids coming off as thick. Stephen Tanzer – Vinous Media
