This is a gorgeous white wine that sings beautifully from the glass. I feel like the 2015 Bolgheri Vermentino Solosole has made an enormous jump forward in quality since the last time I tasted it. The bouquet offers generous tones of peach, citrus, wild sage and natural rubber. Balanced almond and pine nut give the wine creamy appeal. With 55,000 bottles produced, this is a great value white. It shows the potential of Vermentino and could possibly hold for two or three more years. Monica Larner - The Wine Advocate

A minerally and citrusy white with lemon-rind and sliced-apple character. A touch of stones and minerals underneath. Medium body, racy acidity and a flavorful finish. Sea-salt undertones. Shows intensity and beauty. Drink now. - James Suckling

Pale greenish straw. Very ‘cool', racy, leesy nose. Still extremely young. Great presence in the mouth but such a baby aromatically. Some honey character and very well made – so much more of a dead cert than many a white burgundy. Unfortunately, this is the only vintage currently available commercially but it really should be kept. GV. – Jancis Robinson
