Tasting note: Here too there is a plethora of Chablis character on the cool, pure and airy aromas that are comprised of smoky white orchard fruit and various citrus scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to remark upon. The racy, intense and intensely mineral-driven medium weight flavors possess a lovely mouth feel before culminating in a textured, balanced and saline finish that is both dry and tightly wound. BH
Very reticent but pure aromas of lemon and quinine. Chiseled and classic if youthfully austere and extremely backward today, offering hints of menthol, citrus peel, minerals and white pepper. Most impressive right now on the long, fine-grained finish. Like the village wine, this is even better--and likely to develop more slowly--than my note last year suggested. Stephen Tanzer-Vinous Media
