From vines next to Vieux Château Certan and Le Pin (those are some good neighbors, ladies and gentlemen), the 2018 Château Saint-Pierre boasts a deep purple color as well as a powerful bouquet of black fruits, chocolate, and smoked earth. Rich, full-bodied, with big structure, it stays balanced and enjoyable on the palate, with plenty to love. Give bottles 2-4 years in the cellar. - Jeb Dunnuck
The 2018 Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) is a dark, brooding wine. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, spice and tobacco, along with the wine's sheer density, convey an impression of virile power. The 2018 is not a shy wine by any means, but it has tons of character. The 2018 is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the first year in which there is Franc in the blend.- Antonio Galloni
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Saint-Pierre (Pomerol) features bold scents of baked blackberries, fruitcake and blueberry coulis with hints of raisin cake, garrigue and dusty soil. Full and rich, with a lovely plush texture, it has loads of spicy dried berries flavors and a peppery kick to the finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
