A wine that’s going to be an incredible value, the 2020 Château Teyssier offers up a deep ruby/purple color as well as impressive red and blue fruits intermixed with hints of flowers and earth. Playing in the medium-bodied end of the spectrum, it has wonderful purity, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish. The 2020 Teyssier is composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The Merlot was picked from September 15th to October 1st, and the Cabernet Franc from September 30th to October 8th. It has an alcohol of 13.9% and a pH of 3.5. It is aging in French oak barrels, 25% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of baked red and black plums, blackberry preserves and mulberries, plus touches of hoisin, licorice and lilacs. The medium-bodied palate delivers a great intensity of black fruits with an approachable, soft texture and a racy line, finishing refreshing. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Wine Advocate
