A normal crop, not yet racked. Delightful pale lemon colour with a light lime streak. Very classy nose, elegance with stones and a fresh lemon grass perfume. The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne is equally fine on the palate, with some ripe citrus notes, really quite precise and very long. More stony than saline. Tasted: October 2021—Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
Lithe and focused, this white reveals lemon, floral, butterscotch and pastry aromas and flavors. Creamy midpalate, turning taut and vivid, with an expansive, mouthwatering aftertaste. Best from 2025 through 2036. 120 cases made, 18 cases imported.--BS, Wine Pectator
Tasting note: A slightly fresher nose features notes of green apple, petrol, citrus confit and an elegant floral wisp. Like the Bourgogne, the bigger-bodied flavors possess excellent volume and mid-palate density along with plenty of sappy dry extract that imparts an attractive texture while buffering a moderately firm acid spine supporting the nicely persistent finish. What this isn't is especially complex so I would suggest cellaring the 2020 CC for at least 5 years first.—Allen Meadows, Burghound
