The 2012 Rosé de Saignée is deep and full of flavor, yet also stays light on its feet. Pinot Noir takes center stage in this precise, perfumed Rosé. Veins of chalkiness and gorgeous inner perfume add shades of nuance. Margaine's Rosé de Saignée is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, a blend that works beautifully here. Disgorged: June, 2017. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
The 2012 Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée unfurls in the glass with scents of blood orange, rose hip and smoky, spicy red berry fruit. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, sapid and racy, with a tight-knit core and a more vinous, sapid profile than Margaine's regular rosé, concluding with a gently phenolic finish. This should develop nicely with a couple more years on cork. It was disgorged in June 2017. - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
"The nose is very fruity and complex. It reveals hints of cherry and kirch. The palate is vinous and fruity with a lemony finish”.- Producer notes
